Be Kind to Kids - Kind to the Earth

Introducing Be Kind - Home to the Silisipper.  I had so much fun with this summer product  shoot for the folks at Be Kind with these four adorable and oh-so-crazy kiddos. If you haven't already discovered it, you really must check out their awesome Earth friendly - kid friendly tempered glass products.  These cups and saucers can easily withstand the force of even the most rambunctious of toddlers.  I mean seriously, if this stuff wasn't super tough, do you think these kids would be allowed to run around the yard with glass in their hands?

Love session - Elizabeth and Michael

This post is a bit over due but, I just had to share this recent session with Elizabeth and Michael.  It took place in the backyard of Elizabeths childhood home.  I must say, the experience really sent me back in time to the backyard of my own childhood.  Elizabeths mother is quite the horticulturalist as was my own.  And the setting was like a fairy tail.  What made this setting even more special is that Elizabeth and Michael have virtually grown up together, here, in this beautiful garden.  They have know each other for years and, were high school sweet hearts.  I can't wait to help document the next stage of their lives together when they marry in September.  I'll be shooting their wedding with Carolyn of my partner company Albright Shotz Photography.  We can't wait!!!

Happy Birthday Sami

Happy first birthday Sami !

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Sami and his entourage.  For this first photo session, Sam brought along his sister Yasmine and, his grandparents who were visiting from overseas.  Too often, we tend to  forget to include some of the more important people in our lives.  I love when I get to witness and to help preserve the relationships between grandparents and their grandchildren.  Its something really very special, and one to savor for as long as we are fortunate enough to have them.  I grew up far away from my grandmothers, making our once a year visits a time of magic. My children are also growing up to far away from their remaining grandparents.  I look at photos like these and realize how much time has passed, and what I would give to freeze time, even just a moment of it, and to have images like these to hold onto and to savor for a lifetime.

What to Wear: Spring Inspired

Need a little fashion inspiration for your upcoming spring photo session?  I like to look at the world around me for a pallet to work with.  In this case, my window boxes!  These are the colors of the pansy's in my window boxes!  For more color pallets from nature, check out this great sight I recently discovered!  Makes me want to redo my entire wardrobe... and my entire house! Welcome to the 2012 MK/Smartstop Professional Cycling Team

During the first week of March, every year for the past 5 years, I have had the awesome privilege of photographing this professional cycling team as the gather together to kick off the new season at their Team Training Camp in Winston-Salem.  Every year, some of those faces change as some of the talent moves on in search of bigger and better opportunities, and some new ones join in on the adventure.  It's been so much fun watching this team mature and grow over the years.  They absolutely are a team to watch and a force to contend with.  So, it's my privilege to introduce to you this amazing group of guys, the
MK/Smartstop Professional Cycling Team.
